Portal de Ensueños
Portal de Ensueños is the result of a drawing and design workshop during which the Lennox community was invited to let their imagination fly. Reading books about fantastic dreams of flying stirred the creativity of over 40 members of the Lennox community. With oil pastels, markers and pencils, young readers produced playful and vibrant depictions of fairies, winged people and animals of all sorts. Stars with the moon and sun are surrounded by mermaids with butterfly wings, fairies, flying pigs and a winged snake.

I encouraged the attending group to think of the library as a kind of information/literary airport. One where you may take off to any destination in your imagination. |

 Drawings interpreted into glass
There were so many great individual expressions of flight. This theme is so well understood as the landing jets are pulsing accross the skies of Lennox
Fused glass with painted details
I took the drawings and arranged them into a pictograph-style composition to represent our diverse community and convergent desire to go where our hearts lead.
